Boom Boom Pow

Last Saturday, Oscar and I headed to the O2 in Dublin to see The Black Eyed Peas supported by Cheryl Cole. It was Oscar’s first concert and he was really looking forward to it.

It was a truly brilliant night which far exceeded our expectations. He was dumbstruck by the whole experience.

Here’s Cheryl’s first song:

As a parent, I was impressed by how well the O2 was organised. Any of the many personnel we encountered were very helpful. There were loads of other parents with children at the concert. It felt very safe. We had no problems getting a taxi home outside immediately after the gig.

The show, the music, the songs, the dancing, the energy were awesome. Loved it. Highlights included the mayhem of “Pump It”, Will.I.am’s DJ set, Fergie’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, Cheryl’s “Rain on Me” and “Rock that Body”.

A night I doubt either of us will ever forget.
