Despite being raised a Catholic, I have never been convinced by the whole bible tale and religious fundamentalist beliefs in anything just scare me. Up until now, despite agreeing with much of what Richard Dawkins has to say, I really disliked the way he said it. His dismissive attitude to the people, many of who I greatly respect, who do believe in the many religions and gods out there, I find to be very patronising, rude and overbearing. This interview seems to be a welcomed departure from that and I agree with alot of his views.

Recent revelations  in the Murphy Report and more have left me disgusted with the Catholic church. But I do believe in the ideal of treating others like you’d like to be treated. Live and let live. Like many others, I would like to believe there is some sort of an afterlife. I like to think that someday I will get to chat to my father again.

Who knows? It certainly isn’t getting any clearer the older I get.
