Sibéal received this fabulous Sticky Mosaics kit from Auntie Emer this Christmas and she thoroughly enjoyed completing it.
Previously I had purchased smaller one picture versions but this kit contains 5 different, more complex designs to complete. As before you start with the design laid out on cardboard with each rectangle numbers and then sheets of coloured foam tiles.
Then similar to colour by numbers, the child places the coloured self adhesive tiles in the spaces as shown.
Its very simple but Sibéal aged 6 and her cousin Rachel really enjoyed completing the pictures independently. Adhesive plastic hangers are also included so that the completed masterpieces can be displayed. Alas these didn’t work so well and we found blu tacking the finished picture to the wall worked better.
This is a very simple kit but ideal to enjoy and have fun on a rainy day. Good value for money. Will checkout the 3d versions soon hopefully. I believe Emer purchased this kit in the Nimble Fingers shop in Stillorgan, Dublin and I have previously purchased similar in Formative Fun shop in Cork.
