Summer Camp

Posted on | July 15, 2009 | No Comments

The 10 year old and 7 year old just completed the Munster Rugby Summer Camp in Bandon and had a most excellent week. They were both novices on Monday but by the end of the week were totally enthusiastic about the sport and wanted to continue training.

We were lucky in that the only bad day weather wise was Friday so much of that day was spent in the hall. The other 4 days were spent outdoors. The children were split into groups according to age. They each got a kit comprising of socks, jersey, shorts, mouth guard, poster and back pack.

I couldn’t fault the organisation of the camp, the boys thought the trainers were great, friendly, encouraging and they learned lots. The camp ran from 9.30 till 1.30 each day and the cost for my pair was €189. I was delighted that both really enjoyed it and that its encouraged them to continue.

Overall verdict from the boys and myself was “brilliant!”.
