Cosy Toasty School Coat

Posted on | December 1, 2008 | No Comments

Sibéal seems to be growing in leaps and bounds these days so when I thought her winter coat from last year would be fine, I was mistaken. It was too small so with the weather getting wintery and rainy, I needed to purchase a replacement ASAP.

I had previously purchased online from the Puddleducks website and had been very happy with the service and quality of the products, so it was there that I started to look.

Their waterproof fleecelined coat looked perfect and at under €40 was good value too. Purchase and delivery were uncomplicated and as efficient as on my previous purchases.

Sibéal loves it. Its waterproof, lightweight but really cosy and warm as lined with bright red fleece material. I like the added safety of the reflective strip around the arm, especially on these gloomy mornings. The fastening poppers are easy for her to manage so she’s happy to put the coat on herself. The hood is slightly elasticated so less likely to blow down in a gust of wind but there isn’t the hassle of a drawstring. Two decent sized pockets on the front and a tag to fill in the child’s name on the inside are also of benefit.

Overall, this is an excellent coat and perfect for school. Especially for my children like mine who hate wearing any jackets/coats that are too bulky or heavy but who you want to see kept warm and dry on their way to and from school.
