When I was a kid, I used to LOVE to read the Three Investigators series of books. Though set in California and the three investigators being three 14 year old or so boys, Jupiter Jones, Pete Crenshaw and Bob Andrews, they really caught my imagination and I devoured book after book.

Book cover image along with loads more info from this “all you need to know” 3Investigators site.
I loved the mysteries, the secret headquarters set in the back of Jones’ Junkyard, the secret entrances, the gadgetry and the solving the mysteries. I hadn’t thought of them in years but recently remembered and today discovered the series ran until the late 80s.
So I’m off to try and purchase some.

Oh how fun. Will be fun to see what your children think! I just started reading the Chronicles of Narnia with Ella. She loves it and it’s so interesting to read a childhood favourite with an adult perspective!
Good luck finding them!

Just ordered 2 of the 3 books in 1 sets off Amazon. ohhh, looking forward to getting them.
I just hope it won’t shatter the memories I have of them.
Great to hear you and Ella are enjoying Chronicles of Narnia. Thats another set I must re-read.
