This weekend, I shall be mostly….

Snowboarding (hopefully), though more probably I shall be sitting alot on my ass in the snow, as I struggle to try to snowboard.
Either way, its a break from the norm and I can’t wait. Ischgl here I come.

Oh I am so jealous! Although I prefer the skis. I took a snowboarding lesson in Colorado and was told I was a liability and not to come back after lunch, but I was able to trade my pass in for an advanced skiing lesson and got to explore the powder bowls, so I think it worked out better in the end!
Hope you have better luck! Are ye all going or do you have a stellar babysitter lined up?

Yep Deborah, I’m definitely at the liability skill level! Have no doubt I’ll be battered and bruised by the time I come home,
Am going with 2 of my brothers and one of my sisters, who is the organiser of the whole thing. She used to live in Munich and loves snowboarding so she’s encouraging us all. A few friends are also in the posse.
Alas no luck in conning anyone into minding all the childer for the duration so the best DH is holding the fort here.

Owwww, yep, back but very bloody sore. I’m definitely not a natural when it comes to snowboarding. Managed to also hit the sister with my board when falling over so shes got 2 stitches in her shin for her trouble.
Despite that, a great weekend. Deadly to hang out with some of my siblings and not have the usual distractions. Austrians are mental when it comes to apres ski. Very funny and good fun.
Highly recommend it. May bring 8 year old the next time to see what he makes of the snow!

And yeah, I know if I do, he’ll probably whizz past me in no time and I’ll still be the person falling over on the piste. Still, baby steps, hopefully next time, I see a little improvement.
