Review of Peppa Pig Drive and Steer Car

Peppa Pig Drive and Steer Car

Great toy, big hit here with kids from 2 to 8 years old. Very simple to use remote control car.

This was the biggest hit of all the birthday gifts that the 4 year old recently received.

Peppa pig is a brilliant kids’ TV programme, our kids love it. The animation is pretty basic but the stories are usually quite amusing and always gentle and nice. Peppa and her brother George usually end up splashing in muddly puddles and having fun. Other characters include Grandma and Grandpa pig, Mummy and Daddy pig aswell as occasional visitors of Susie Sheep, Rebecca Rabbit, Danny Dog and Pedro Pony.

So Sibéal was thrilled when Auntie Fiona surprised her with a Peppa Pig Drive and Steer Car.

It’s battery run and plays the Peppa Pig tune if one of the buttons is pressed. This can be ever so slightly repetitive after a while but thankfully there’s a mute button.

Another button makes a beeping horn sound.

It’s really easy to use, so much so that the 2 year old is a dab hand at playing with it. It can go forward and reverse. Tilting the steering wheel right and left, the car veers right or left, similiarly to a real car.

So far so good. We had an initial scare that the right and left movement was broken after the controls were dropped on a hard floor but all appears well, so it is fairly robust, as it would have to be with 4 of our kids vying to play with it.

Available from Smyths for approximately €29, would definitely recommend for any Peppa pig fans!

Ooh thanks for the tip. My two love Peppa as well. So does the hubby bizarrely enough! You certainly know your characters! ;-) Will definitely put this on the Xmas list. Not a bad price either!

Yeah, I’m just relieved to be finally getting away from Barney!! Peppa is alot less in your face preachy thankfully. Its mostly very sweet. When George jumped in a muddy puddle , splashed Peppa and started crying was the first time I heard the 2 year old laughing at a TV programme. I’ve a feeling he’s a slapstick humour fan!

    Hey Louise,
Thats great value. Its still going strong here so if you’ve a Peppa Pig fan, it’d make an excellent Christmas present.
