Review of Estee Lauder’s Idealist Micro-D Deep Thermal Refinisher

Complex name for a great facial skin product that leaves my face feeling smooth and refreshed.

I can be very lackadaisical about my whole skincare routine, most nights its just soap and water to clean and then some moisturiser before I collapse into my bed and similarly in the morning. I know I probably should do the whole cleanser, toner, moisturise routine but am usually too tired by that stage of the day. Every now and then I apply a face mask or use a scrub. I started using this product a while ago and I love the feeling my face has after it. Its basically a thermal facial scrub, or “home microdermabrasion” kit if you want to want to big it up. You apply it to damp skin, as usual totally avoiding the eye area. There’s a small exothermic reaction and it heats your face whilst you massage it on your skin. The heat on your face apparantly opens your pores and ”purifies” them. I agree it probably does open the pores, am sceptical as to what purification is done. What I can say is that my face feels great after using it, dry skin removed and face smooth. It’s expensive enough but available from www.strawberrynet.com, the 75ml tube lasts for ages, at only 2 applications a week.

I received a sample of this once and loved it. Completely forgot about it until now. Might have to invest!
If you have the means, take a look at Bliss Oxygen facial. It’s similar, but a bit better. Your skin looks visibly firmer, younger and softer for a few days. It’s pricey though!!!

Hi Deborah,
Thanks, will investigate the bliss facial. These days with lack of sleep, thanks to a teething 10 month old, I need all the help I can get!

i love this product although sometimes as i use sunbeds my skin can become very dry from it and it can make my face flake more. but when just used my skin is so soft and smooth helps foundation glide on easily without any strakyness or patches.
Expensive but well worth the money. I think ill always use this product
