Review of The Overlook by Michael Connelly

I grabbed this novel in the local newsagents as had managed to forget to bring the many half read books that I have on the go on our week’s holidays.
I have read a few of Michael Connelly’s Bosch detective thrillers before this and have enjoyed them. Nothing too earth shattering but usually entertaining. This however felt like it was just churned out.
The plot involved the execution of a doctor who had apparently been blackmailed into stealing radioactive material from his workplace, as his wife’s held hostage. Terrorists are the suspects. FBI, LAPD battle over who has control of the case. Bosch the maverick susses it all out.
There were no major surprises. No great insights. Been done before. Yawn.
