Review of Aer Lingus Online Booking

Aer Lingus Online Booking
Arrgggh, site won’t allow for booking tickets for families of more than 6 at once.

Stupid rules annoy and frustrate me. These days, I don’t think families of over 6 people are that strange or occur that infrequently. Yet, as we are a family of 7,  when I try to book flights online with aerlingus.com, I am given the following message and am unable  to proceed with flight booking.

aerlingus.com message saying only up to 6 people

There is no obvious contact email address on the website, so I rang the online reservations phone number. I really don’t know why I bothered.

Reservations:”yeah, we dont do bookings online for over 6 people”

Me: “why?”

Reservations:”Cause, thats a group”

Me: “really? because the website says a group must be 10 people or over?”

Reservations: “yeah, you’ll have to make separate bookings”

Me: “who do I email to complain about this?”

Reservations: “you’ll have to fax or write in”

Excellent. Tip top customer service with up to date technology. Give me patience.

In my opinion Aer Lingus have a very poor standard of customer service.
They own 500 Euro relating to Volcanic Ash Disruption in April 2010 and six months later nothing.

But they refuse to contact me about this.

I do not think I will travel with Aer Lingus again.
